Nishwik covers all hospital bills including inpatient treatment, elective surgeries (orthopaedic, cardiac, cosmetic), outpatient procedures, diagnostics, maternity, ICU care, and dental. Maximum bill size covered depends on patient eligibility — typically up to ₹10 lakhs for eligible applicants. Bills as low as ₹5,000 can also be split into EMIs.
Yes. Nishwik can cover the amount not covered by insurance (co-pay or deductible). If a patient's insurance covers 80% and they owe ₹60,000 out of pocket, Nishwik can convert that ₹60,000 into monthly EMIs — bridging the insurance gap without additional stress.
Nishwik provides a billing desk widget and QR code for hospitals — no software integration required to start. For hospitals with existing HIS (Hospital Information Systems), we also offer API integration. Our hospital tech team handles the full setup during onboarding.
In cases where a patient's application is declined (typically due to very low credit data), the patient will need to pay by other means. However, Nishwik's alternate data underwriting approves a significantly higher proportion of applicants compared to traditional bank EMI products — especially for bills below ₹2 lakhs.
Minimum bill size: ₹5,000. Maximum per transaction: ₹10,00,000 for eligible applicants. For very high-value bills (e.g., complex cardiac surgery above ₹10L), Nishwik can structure a split arrangement — covering a portion via EMI while the patient or insurance covers the balance.
