Data Deletion Policy

Your data. Your right to erase it.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, you can request deletion of your personal data held by Nishwik. Verified requests are completed within 30 days.

📧 Submit by Email

Write to privacy@nishwik.com with subject: "Data Deletion Request — [Your Registered Mobile Number]". Include your full name, registered mobile/email, and the scope of data you want deleted.

⏱️ Timeline

Identity verification within 72 hours (OTP to registered mobile/email)
Written acknowledgement within 7 days
Deletion completed and confirmed within 30 days

⚖️ What We Must Retain

Certain records cannot be deleted under Indian law: loan records (RBI — 8 years), CKYC Registry filings (CERSAI), BBPS transaction data (NPCI), GST records (6 years), and records under active legal proceedings. We will always tell you exactly what is retained and why.

Escalation: If your request is not handled within the required timeline, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@nishwik.com (response within 7 business days), the Data Protection Board of India once constituted, or the applicable consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
